St. Joseph Joins some top New England Hospitals on Harvard Pilgrim Honor Roll
St. Joseph Hospital has been named to the 2012 Harvard Pilgrim Hospital Honor Roll. The list recognizes acute care hospitals whose performance was among the top 25 percent of those measured nationally on a set of quality, safety and patient experience measures, as reported by the Federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) on its Hospital Compare website, and the Leapfrog Group’s patient safety measures.
St. Joseph is the only hospital in Bangor and one of twelve hospitals in Maine and one of only 34 hospitals in New England to be named to the 2012 Hospital Honor Roll.
Honor Roll hospitals are noted in Harvard Pilgrim’s printed and online provider directories as well as on the organization’s website, enabling consumers to evaluate and select hospitals based on quality and safety performance.
The annual Harvard Pilgrim Hospital Honor Roll recognizes hospitals throughout the health benefit company’s service area of Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island for their consistent high quality and safe, patient-sensitive care.
St. Joseph Hospital - Nashua, New Hampshire, one of St. Joseph Hospital-Bangor's sister hospitals within Covenant Health Systems, was also named to the Honor Roll this year.
